Sunday morning 2/17

We got SIX hours of sleep last night and Jason slept fom 8-10am, as well.

The kidney doctor just came in and said that tomorrow they would determine if he needs dialysis or can go home. He has put out 800ml of urine since 3pm yesterday, which is good production.

The doctor stepped out to write in his chart and noticed that Jason's blood counts were very low. He is ordering a scan of his abdomine to make sure there is no internal bleeding and he will get 2 units of blood.

You never know what a day may bring!

We haven't been able to check the blog since Thursday night because of D-Now. What encouraging news!! We're still praying for Jason's complete recovery, Mike's workload, Debbie's strength, and Kevin's & Steven's well being as you all look forward to Jason getting out of the hospital. We'll especially be praying for those low blood counts and the swelling. We love you all.

Jason,

We're excited that you're closer to checking out of your "hotel". I know you're anxious to get out of there and resume a somewhat normal routine, and get some uninterrupted sleep! We're continuing to pray that God touches every part of your body that needs healing and restores you to excellent health. Mike said he'd like to see you back on the court shooting your 3's and making those awesome passes! (let's don't push it too soon, though!) We're also praying for Kevin, who we know would love to be right there with you, and your dad and Steven at home. Give your sweet mom a hug for us and let her know that we are praying peace and strength for her as well. We're here if you need us.

We love you guys!

Sheila & Mike

Jason,
What a pleasant thought - HOME SWEET HOME - sounds like that might happen soon! We will pray for that low blood count and look forward to reading tomorrow's news. Today Taylor mailed a card which some people in his Sunday school class signed -- however, he mailed it to you at the hospital. Sounds as if you might be at home by time it arrives -- that would be GREAT!
Love you,
Dixon's

Hey Jason,
My family and I have been praying that you'll recover quickly! I'm not sure if we're taking any of the same classes, but let me know if you need me to get some notes for you. Hang in there!

Brother Kasper,

I pray everyday for you and your family! I cannot imagine how hard this is on you and on your family, but keep strong. God is with you and with your family. I cannot wait to see you again and to meet your family. if you need anything at all please let me know. Mr. and Mrs. Kasper, if Jason is not able to read this please pass this along to him and tell him that I miss him and love him. thanks

Jason, I think I'm the first of us to find the blog so we haven't really been able to post much, but rest assured that all your brothers have been keeping you in our thoughts and prayers. We're all glad to see that you're recovering - I'm sure you'll be tearing up the tennis courts soon enough.

Step Sing was pretty crazy - I really wish you had had the chance to enjoy our show live but you'll be able to see it online pretty soon, I'm guessing. Truth be told, I don't know what the judges were thinking when they gave us first place - but heck if I'm going to complain.

Anyway, with any luck, we'll be seeing you soon.

Kaspar, it's Jonathan Haas.

We just were informed of this blog so I wanted to stop by and say that we're all praying for you. We're hoping to come up there to see you sometime soon, so keep us updated. You may not have been initiated, but you'll always be a brother to all of us. You're always in our thoughts.

Hey Jason, You don't actually know me-I am a friend of your mom and I want you to know that we have been praying for your recovery and asking others to do so as well. God is so good, He is in the healing business. Hope you are able to get sprung soon and are good to go with your kidneys. It's what we prayed for right from the begining. Keep up your faith so He will get the glory. 1 Peter 5:7Cast your care upon Him, because He cares about you. ~Sue Merkle
