Mrs. Debbie,

I was so shocked to find out that Jason was at Union, even more so that he was one of our students that had been trapped. I know mom called the other day but let me just extend my own offer as well - if you need ANYTHING while you are here, please don't hesitate to call. My home is only about five minutes from Jackson/ Madison Hospital. You are welcome to come for some r/r or just to wash clothes if thats a need. My number is cell (662)587-9912 or my work number is (731)660-3030.

Jason,
Keep your chin up! Don't get disheartened. It isn't gonna be an easy recovery but you can do it. You are in my prayers daily. If you want anything just have your mom drop me a call, I'd be happy to run any errands for ya. Be a good patient and get better soon!

PS ~ Philip Gilbert (from church when we were kids) said to tell you hi and that he's prayin for ya too!

Hi Jason!

We're so glad that you are now able to get up and move a little bit. The blog site is helping so many of us keep in closer contact with your situation.

All my friends at bible study and church along with my network of friends all over the country from Arizona to Florida are praying for all you students that are recovering from your various injuries from last week.

I even called WGN radio on Saturday morning on the Bright Side of Life to say how happy we were that all of you were rescued and starting the healing process.

I'm anxious to talk to you in person and give you a big hug! We're so proud of you that it was your faith that helped you hang on for the rescue team to get you out in time.

We know your determination will get you through the rough days ahead but remember there are a whole lot of people praying each and every day for ALL of you---school, family and the students recovering in many different ways!!

Hang in there---we love you!

Hey Jason-
I just wanted to let you know I am praying for you everyday. Be strong in the Lord- He is your strength in times of trouble. A verse that I love is Romans 8:18-19, "For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. For the creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God."
I hope you are feeling better today and that God is teaching you new things about Himself.
