Valentine's Day 2008!

Today was a much better day. Jason had a 4-hr dialysis session. This afternoon he worked hard with the occupational and physical therapists. He walked twice as far as yesterday, stood on two feet for as long as 2 1/2 minutes and did squats.

During the day I talked with Dr. Snider, his doctor. He said that the info yesterday from the doctor was the worse case scenario.

Mrs. Dockery (the president's wife from Union University) stopped by and assured me that they would do everything possible to work with him to make his schooling happen this semester.

Jason and I enjoyed Subway for lunch, the biggest meal he's had in the past nine days--topped off with fresh raspberries.

Now for the news we've all been waiting for: Jason urinated 17 ounces at 7:30PM!

Thank you all for your prayers! Please keep praying for his left foot and to regain his strength.

P.S. Cheryl was able to leave the hospital today!

That's soo good to hear jason!! I bet that felt so good and mom told me now you get all the drinks you want, including route 44s. I've been praying for you harder than anything I've ever prayed for and it's so good to hear of your progress. I can't believe all the people I randomly see around campus that say they heard about you and they are praying and have asked so many of their friends or Bible studies to pray as well. God has blessed you and our family with wonderful friends, and I know I can feel their prayers as I'm sure you can too.

The next day after I got back from visting you I read a Psalms (86 I think) that reminded me that the very God who controls the universe is with His sons and daughters in all times, especially when life can't seem to get any worse. Just an unbelievable thought when you really think about it.

Keep getting better and hold your chin up. I love you so much Jay. -Kevin

Jason!

Hope you're doing well today!! We had opening night of step sing tonight and tomorrow my mom is picking harrison up from oxford on her way to bham. I can't believe harrison is actually coming to support his sister (mark this date on your calendar)

On this valentine's day I just wanted to remind you of God's incredible love and power with this verse:

"Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or hardship or persecution?....For I am convinced that neither death nor life....neither height nor depth, nor anything else in ALL creation will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord" Romans 8:35-39

How great is the God which we serve who has proved himself faithful and loving time and time again!!!!!

Thinking of you here at Samford,

Elizabeth Hunt
